Another great event–it garned $845!! This event may have been smaller than the previous ones (many friend and relatives were out of town), but the energy was amazing and contagious! Upcoming Events!

Hello everyone!

Happy Saturday night!  What a great start to the weekend: I saw AVATAR (finally!) in 3D with Zack last night and it was simply amazing!  What an incredible visual display and great story – I just hope people pick up on the not-so-subtle environmental messages throughout the movie.  It almost felt like the planet was an underwater world filled with sea anemones and soft corals (that’s the scuba diver side of me coming out).

Today, I went up to San Rafael with Morgan to shake our tailfeathers with Efren (a fellow Zumba Instructor) at his free class at this gorgeous dance studio in Marin.  And the Wall Street Journal was there doing an article on fitness happiness (ooh, maybe we’ll be famous!)  I always love meeting new instructors in the area and taking their classes (always good to “steal” great ideas too!)

Then, I had a coffee date at Philz (yum! philtered soul all the way), which felt like talking to a long-lost sister-friend.  All in all, a great start to the weekend!

Just don’t forget an EXTRA Zumba class tomorrow morning at 9am at 24 Hour Fitness Potrero!!  We will rock it!

Happy New Year to all of my Zumba friends and family!  I hope that you are already off to a fantastic start of the new year!  I encourage you all to take a little time to think about some of your own personal fitness and life goals and how you can achieve them in 2010.  It is the start of a new year and a new decade so remember to live life to the fullest with all of its potential!

And as incentives to physical fitness and Zumba fun, here are some of the exciting January Zumba events happening in the Bay Area!

Saturday, January 23rd: Zumba Launch Party at World Gym San Francisco, 3-6pm, 1 hour of class, 1 hour of technique and then more Zumba fun!  Facebook Event.

Sunday, January 24th: Zumba for Charity at Cheryl Burke Dance Studio San Francisco, 11:30am, Facebook Cause.

Saturday, January 30th: Zumbathon: Join the fight against liver cancer! at Stanford University, Palo Alto, 1-3pm, 2 hours of Zumba to support the Jade Ribbon Campaign, Facebook Event.

So mark your calendars and save the dates!

Also, for the next few Sundays I will be subbing at 9am at 24 HF Potrero (Jan 3rd and Jan 10th!)
