2010 is almost over and the one thing on many ZIN Member minds is: What’s the deal with the 2011 Zumba Instructor Convention? Well, we’ve got the details — so whether you’re still on the fence, already started planning or, booked your room at the Peabody months ago, read on for more information about one party you won’t want to miss!

2011 is a big year for Zumba Fitness. It’s the celebration of a decade, and a milestone like this has to be celebrated in a BIG way. So big, the party could only happen at the 2011 Zumba Instructor Convention. Get ready for the biggest and best convention yet with new sessions, a live concert and a whole new Zumbathon^® Fitness-Concert guaranteed to blow you away!

Come join us on July 7-10, 2011 at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, FL, for the party of the decade. With new additions, the Peabody Hotel can now accommodate more ZIN Members than ever before and all we have to say is — we hope Orlando is ready for us!

Jump Start Gold – A New Zumba Training Course!

Jump Start Gold, Zumba Fitness

Jump Start Gold^TM… a new training designed for instructors-to-be —

Jump Start Gold is an entry-level training course that combines the Zumba Gold Training with the foundation and formula of a Zumba Basic steps level 1 Training. It addresses the anatomical, physiological and psychological needs crucial to teaching the active, older adult population. It is designed for instructors-to-be who are passionate about teaching Zumba Gold classes (versus basic Zumba classes) and want to “jump start” their Zumba Gold career. This addition to the Instructor Training lineup allows instructors-to-be to become licensed in Zumba^® Basic and Zumba Gold^® in one extended 10-hour Instructor Training Course.

So, if you have a friend who wants to teach Zumba Gold classes, encourage them to get a “jump start” by attending a Jump Start Gold Instructor Training Course. It is important to note that in order to obtain a license to teach Zumba Gold, attendees must join ZIN* (as of September 1, 2010, Zumba Gold is considered a Specialty Program, which means that the license to teach it is exclusive to ZIN Members). Jump Start Gold Trainings will start popping up soon for 2011.
