Z1 Sneaker – Zumba Shoes in the Shop! (via Zumba with Alena) (via Zumba with Alena)

NEW Z1 sneakers in hot pink, lime and black and blue, green and white were released at the Zumba Instructor Convention in Orlando, Florida!! I HAD to try them and seriously, after having them on my feet for a few dance sessions, I was sold and went back for the other pair! I am IN LOVE with these new sneakers! They have more support than the original black and white Z1 sneakers and who doesn’t love the colors? I did have to get a size 7 (whaaaat?) cause they run large and I usually wear an 8. Check them out on my feet in class!

Z1 Sneaker - Zumba Shoes in the Shop! (via Zumba with Alena) So what do you all think about the Z 1 Sneakers? I just got my first pair and started slowly breaking them in. I have to say, they really are "as light as air" and it is really easy to dance and turn and move in them. The one downside is that there is not as much support as I would have liked, but compared to my other super heavy, clunky shoes, these are almost magical. http://www.zumba.com/us/shop/action/view/productId_306/ These hot Zumba shoes … Read More

Zumba Convention 2010

Off to the Zumba Convention!

Alright, here we go!  Time for the 2010 Zumba Instructor Convention in Orlando, Florida!  I am currently on the plane heading to Chicago to change planes then to Orlando.  I get in around 9pm tonight and I’m sure that there will already be tons of Zumba friends at the Marriot.

My mom is already there and will be taking care of a little grocery shopping for us.  We like our fresh fruits, especially bananas for potassium during these five days of Zumba action.  We brought like an insane amount of our own food, including nuts, dried fruit, oatmeal, protein powder and tuna.  The prices at the convention hotel are crazy expensive and last year the lines were so long to buy food.  At least we’ll guarantee that we’ll have more space for our Zumbawear purchases!  I actually couldn’t believe how much I brought with me to the convention.  I had to take 6 pounds of stuff out of my suitcase while I was at the airport since I was over the 50 lb limit – what?!  Who really takes that much stuff for 6 days away?  At least I was smart enough to bring an extra duffle for my return trip :P

So what is in store for me for the next few days?  Lots of workshops and trainings!  On Saturday, I am taking the Aqua Zumba training – let’s just hope the sun decides to come out and play on Saturday!  I just spoke with my mom before I got on the plane and she said that it is pouring cats and dogs in Orlando right now!  I’m not really sure if I am going to be teaching Aqua Zumba, but I figured that I could spend a day soaking up the Florida sun!  Why not, right?

I’m looking forward to seeing all of my Zumba friends and family over the next few days!  For those of you Instructors who couldn’t make it this year, please try to come next year!  You will be missed!  And you know who you are :)

To all of my students: I will MISS you!  Keep on dancing with the fabulous Ruba and Gigi!  Show them some of your wonderful Zumba love!  I promise to come back from the Convention with some exciting new moves!

I’ll try to update my blog and facebook during the convention!
