Oh man…

Hi everyone!

Well, now I’ve done it.  I injured my neck during the warm up in Zumba class.  I was unable to move it for the rest of class, but somehow I powered through with the help of my front row (they know every song and move anyways!).  I went to the ER Friday since I was still unable to move it – walking hurt, getting out of bed hurt, moving my neck even the tiniest bit hurt, so yes, after talking with my parents, they felt the best choice was to go to the ER.  Luckily, I didn’t have to wait long at the Stanford ER, got seen right away and given 2 muscle relaxants and 2 shots of pain killers.  Needless-to-say, I was a little loopy and out of it, so I was fortunate enough to have Morgan rescue me from the hospital (after 6 hours in there!!!).  The past few days I’ve been on pain killers and muscle relaxants to try to get my neck back in working shape…it’s still painful, but at least I have some range of motion again.  And this soft neck brace (aka the “cone of shame”) is really attractive!  Well, back to resting and bed for me on this beautiful Sunday (of football).

XOXO
